That earning would not be "Halal" anyway :) I had been made such offers from anonymous emails but I choose not to engage and in one case forwarded the email to EiC. I will be surprised if any editor is not approached by these people.

Thanks, Larry. Vinnie offers 500 papers per year at £5,000/paper. This would make $2.5M/yr. However, there is no way I could hide 500 rubbish papers among the 700-800 papers we expect to publish in 2025. I could probably publish 50 fraudulent papers per year between now and the end of my tenure as an editor.

from past experience, there are two types of dean -- ones that respond immediately and ones that never respond

it's been 4 days, so I guess these deans don't care
